1. Catalyst Research Leader

Lead and guide the activities of the catalyst research unit in order to study and evaluate new technologies on the refinery catalyst field and contribute to the overall performance enhancement of the refinery operations and facilitate the achievement of the research & development sectional objectives

3. Condensated Section Head:
Supervisors and controls operations of condensate processing trains processing 280,000 barrels per day to produce environmental friendly refined value added predetermined quantities of specified products meeting divisional objectives for the plants.
Meets production and quality targets set in conjunction with Production Planning to meet marketing demands of the products.
Reviews operating parameters and plant conditions on continual basis, modifies them as per company's procedure, trouble-shoots plant problems and handles plant emergencies to ensure that the plants are operated efficiently and safely. Closely involved in the maintenance planning aspects with maintenance and job safety analysis to ensure that all work carried out in his area meets HSE standards.
Ensures optimal consumption of chemicals, energy and other additives to produce right mix and product blends as agreed.
Initiates and reviews plant improvement, modification, and operating/ capital budget proposals in line with the best operating practices and the industry trends.
Monitors the training function in the department to achieve predetermined nationalization targets and implement the CBT program.
As a custodian of the plant, ensures that the HSEMS system is fully implemented in his area. Ensures that all the releases to atmosphere are well controlled to meet the company's environmental standards.

4. Cost Control Engineer (Maintenance Department):

Controls maintenance cost including materials cost related to all maintenance activities carried out in the Division. Identifies maintenance works suitable for contracting out and prepares detailed specifications and work scope thereof. Participates in preparation of annual maintenance budgets, monitors maintenance expenditure and annual maintenance budgets, and prepares periodic cost performance and management reports with indices. Participates in progress monitoring of contract execution works and shutdowns.

Minimum requirements:
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree

5. Occupational Health Technician
Responsible for carrying out workplace testing of airborne contaminations, physical agents (i.e. Noise, Heat Stress, Radiation etc) biologically active agents etc in process plants & indoor environment based on the wide range of occupational health programs of RRD. Assist Sr. Occupational Health Specialist for monitoring Occupational Health Performance of RRD Operational Plants and buildings. Responsible for inspection, maintenance, testing, calibration and repairs of work environment, indoor air quality testing equipment and life saving equipment, maintains inventory of spares of these equipments.

Minimum requirements:

• Diploma in Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health or equivalent
• Five (5) years experience in using, inspection basic repair and maintenance of a wide variety of work environment and indoor environment testing equipment, including breathing apparatus, airline masks etc; preferably in the workshop or reputed company. Out of which at least 2 years shall be in petroleum oil refinery or petrochemical or chemical plant.

6. Safety & Environment Officer:
Monitor BeAAT Plant form HSE compliance point of view in line with company HSE procedures, advise & support plant operations and maintenance accordingly.
Position requires monitoring Safety aspects, Environmental issues including occupational health/Industrial Hygiene for BeAAT Plant.
Minimum requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Science – Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. (Minimum 3 years degree of Diploma), Additional Certification in Occupational Safety, Environment or Industrial Hygiene is preferred.
• Min 5 year experience working for HSE related duties for a facility handling hazardous chemicals like refinery, petrochemical or gas plant.
• Specific experience of working for HSE for a site handling hazardous waste & its treatment is a definite plus.

7. IT Planner:
To analyze and advice on new IT products, technology, related policies and standards for recommendation to IT management. Assist in the preparation of IT policies, standards, procedures and guidelines in planning and prepare IT Division budget and manpower. Assist in the preparation of the annual IT work plans.
Minimum requirements:
• B.Sc in Information Systems or equivalent studies.
• Extensive training in IT and planning techniques, 5 years experience in data processing and information systems planning studies, evaluation and selection of new technologies

Minimum requirements:

Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline

10. Sr. Contract Engineer:

Ensures the provision of centralized contract development activities to meet in a cost-effective, timely and efficient manner all Company's technical, construction, maintenance, general services and manpower supply contracting requirements.

Handles complex and high value contracts as assigned. In respect of these jobs, develops contracts for all Company Divisions and recommends qualification / evaluation criteria and negotiation strategies. Coordinates with and advises Users on various contractual and commercial matters. Evaluates claims/requests for contract variations and maintains follow-up until closeout of contract file.

Minimum requirements

In addition, as required, performs the duties and responsibilities of Senior Planning Engineer.

Monitors a wide variety of physical and chemical tests for effective operational / products quality control for various Refinery Process Units, Utilities and Offsites as well as GUP & Sulphur Handling Terminal.
Coordinates with Operations, Process Engineering and Production Planning & Economics and Inspection Section Heads for testing schedules, test runs, shutdown, startup, product quality control, corrosion control testing and technical surveys.
Evaluates bids for technical acceptability of Lab. Equipment and chemicals.
Prepares Laboratory capital & operating budget.

Certifies product quality & issues product quality certificates for export and internal marketing

Minimum requirements:

• B.sc in Chemistry or B.Sc in Chemical Engineering
• Experience of 9 years in petroleum refining Technical Services / Laboratory, with diverse knowledge of chemical & physical analyses, crude oil & petroleum products characterization / test methods, petroleum refinery products specifications & ASTM / IP & other applicable standard test methods as well as testing required for desalination and power plants, of which 6 years in a senior position

13. Marine Coordinator:

Plans, coordinates and supervises various activities related to vessels' acceptance, arrival, departure, berthing, and un-berthing, arranging discharge of various imports and loading of all refined products at Refinery Jetty berths and bunkering at vessels. Reviews alternatives to cater for changes and updates vessel movement schedules to meet ADNOC Marketing's requirements. Liaises with Production Planning, Oil Movement, Laboratory, Safety, Third Party Inspection, Vessel Agents and other personnel to reduce vessel turnaround times and maximise berth occupancy. Is responsible for the accurate documentation of all exports.

Minimum requirements

• B.Sc. degree or equivalent, Plans, coordinates and supervises various activities related to vessels' acceptance, arrival, departure, berthing, and un-berthing, arranging discharge of various imports and loading of all refined products at Refinery Jetty berths and bunkering at vessels

14. Mechanical Maintenance Section Head:

Directs, coordinates and supervises all mechanical maintenance and workshop activities in the plant and off-sites. Includes participating in the preparation of maintenance programmes, directing the implementation of such programmes, investigating modification and new projects proposals, examining equipment performance and providing recommendations to enhance maintainability and to minimize maintenance cost, Ensuring that all maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently.

Minimum requirements
• B. Sc. In Mechanical Engineering
• 9 years experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy rotating and stationary equipment out of which 4 years should have been in a similar senior supervisory position in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry

15. NDT Engineer

Plans, supervises and personally conducts inspection and testing of equipment tanks and piping using various non-destructive examination techniques like Ultrasonic flaw detection/thickness measurements, Magnetic particle testing, X-ray/radiography, Dye penetrant tests, Eddy current testing, Magnetic flux leakage testing, acoustic emission, thermography etc. Evaluates and interprets the test results and makes necessary recommendations to the supervisor. Carries out visual inspection and quality control jobs on plant facilities.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Level III qualification in ND examinations or equivalent preferred
• 5 years experience in Inspection and NDT testing of which at least 4 years should be in Petroleum Process plant
• Good written and spoken English.

16. NDT Technician

Carries out routine extensive non-destructive testing of equipment and piping both on-stream and off-stream, for refinery, GUP, SHT, and Jetties etc., using necessary NDT equipment. Maintains dark room in good order and inspection instruments and tools in proper working condition. Maintains Ultrasonic thickness data in Pacer system. Receives radio Isotope, storage and safe handling of hazardous radio Isotope. Carries out necessary NDT during plant commissioning and collects base thickness measurements for piping, vessels and storage tanks and updates the data in to Pacer system

Minimum requirements

• Completion of Higher Secondary School certificate (12 years) with valid ASNT Level II certificates in DP, MPT, UT & RT Techniques
• 6 years experience in non-destructive testing work in a petroleum /chemical plant
• Fair knowledge of English.

17. Process Engineer

Performs a variety of process engineering duties in the plant. Includes monitoring performance of plants and facilities, preparing daily performance summary and recommending corrective actions to deal with abnormalities. Coordinates with Operations to conduct Test Runs, tests new chemicals and implements changes in plant operations. Provides functional assistance to various plant personnel in test-checking alternatives, diagnosing process and corrosion problems, and preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and materials. Prepares data for new projects and major revamps,

Minimum requirements:

• B.Sc. in Chemical or Petroleum Processing Engineering

18. Safety Engineer

Supervises, coordinates and monitors the plant loss control programmes and provides specialist advice and assistance on safety aspects to Plant Departments. Controls the provision of a safe and hygienic work environment for all company and contractor's personnel in the assigned plant area. Participates in the development of safety procedures and safety training programmes, and in safety audits. Prepares reports on incidents with recommendations for improvement

Minimum requirements:

19. Safety Environment Section Head
Plans, directs and supervises the activities of the Safety & Environment Section, develops, Plans and Directs Safety, Health, Environmental and Loss control programs in the plant. Provides professional advice and assistance to Refinery departments on Safety, Health, Environment and fire prevention. Conducts Hazard identification programs, review of new project design and plant modifications and ensures adequate protection measures to eliminate accidents, Health & Safety, and Environment hazards; sets procedure for protection of personnel, assets and Environment

20. Senior Pilot Engineer:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pilot plant in line with QHSE standards in order to support the uninterrupted operations of the plant and facilitate the achievement of pilot plant objectives

• 5 years' experience in the refinery field in the oil & gas industry in the pilot plant operations.

21. Sr. Lab Chemist:
Supervises all activities of the Day, Shift, ATK, Water, Sulphur, Octane, BeAAT, GUP & Analytical laboratories. Monitors performance of special analyses and studies required for an effective quality control testing programme for good operational control of various process units / plants. Certifies finished products for export.
Co-ordinates with senior Operation and Production Planning staff and Process and Inspection Engineers for analysis schedules of on-stream samples, unscheduled samples, quality control, test runs, shutdown, startup, corrosion control and technical surveys. Reviews daily lab test results of the concerned labs for any abnormalities.
Provides expertise as needed for the development of test methods, equipment lay-outs, and best Laboratory practices for upcoming projects. Also evaluates and provides technical advice to project department in the selection process of new analyzer & other Laboratory set up.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB :
• B.Sc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 9 years experience in a petroleum refinery laboratory with a wide range of knowledge in quality control, internationally established standard test methods / testing techniques and instrumental analysis, research applicable in particular to testing of crude oil / condensate & petroleum products, of which at least 4 years should have been in a supervisory position.

22. Sr. Operations Engineer
Provides essential coordination, technical support and advice to the manager and various Department Section Heads to ensure safe, efficient and optimal functioning of various Department operating units and systems. 23. Senior Performance Monitoring Engineer
Supervises the activities of the production accounting group for accurate production accounts and timely management reports. Carries out performance monitoring and based on simulation results, guides on optimal operation to achieve smooth and efficient operation of refinery.
Utilizes Linear Programming (LP) modelling for analysis of monthly results, guides for forecasting, planning and preparing efficient blend recipes. Collaborate with HO in developing Annual Operating Plans, Quarterly Rolling Plans including Utility Production Plans and Monthly Operating Plans.
Prepares periodic management reports with explanations of deviations in cost, trends, quality and other parameters, highlighting causes and suggesting corrective actions
Minimum requirement:
• B.Sc. Degree in Chemical or Petroleum Processing Engineering
• 7 Years experience in production planning and scheduling including working with computer based industrial engineering applications (i.e. linear programming), preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.

25. Sr. Process Engineer (Business Support):

Leads and coordinates scoping, conceptual and techno-economic studies for major projects utilizing internal as well as external resources. 30. SR. Systems Engineer (Technical Services)
Ensures smoothness of daily / planned maintenance and project follow-up activities related to RRD office automation, servers administration and upgrade, Data network LAN / WAN, Supporting business applications like (LIMS, PACER, Business Objects) and other in-house development Oracle & databases through Systems Engineers. Participates in preparing IT budget requirements, development of policies and procedures related RRD computer users and their applications
Minimum requirements:
• B.Sc. in I.T., Computer Sciences, or equivalent degree.
• 7 Years experience in the development and implementation of computer industrial applications and databases, and PC support Hardware and Software and Exchange servers and Networking.
• Good knowledge of English both written and spoken.
• Computer literate.

31. SR. Corrosion Engineer:
Provides expertise and assumes responsibility for areas related to Corrosion Monitoring and Control in Ruwais Refinery Division. Reviews the metallurgy of the equipment and piping and makes recommendations for upgrading as required. Reviews the operating conditions to assess and monitor corrosive condition and evaluates the material performance in all corrosive systems.

Reviews the metallurgy for the modifications and major projects. Updates procedures and specifications related to Corrosion Management and Inspection activities and recommends repairs/operating parameters to extend the life of equipment and piping.
Carries out failure analysis and failure investigations in order to enhance safety and integrity of the plant. Supervises the cathodic protection system upkeep and monitoring of piping, tanks, marine and concrete structures. Updates/prepares the records and Corrosion/Inspection files for the plant and equipment.
Minimum requirements:
• B.Sc in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• 7 years experience in process and utilities of Petroleum refineries, Chemical Process plants, Petrochemical plants of which 4 years as specialist in Corrosion Engineering.
• Good knowledge of English.

32. Sr. Process Specialist
Coordinate scoping, conceptual and techno-economic studies for major projects utilizing internal as well as external resources. Develop, coordinate scope for techno-economic studies by Consultants and engineering companies and follow-up Consultants activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance to the plans and within agreed schedule and cost. Liaise with various licensors to evaluate new technologies, catalyst and chemicals to improve plant configurations, reduce operating cost, improve plant flexibility and enhance product qualities. Provide technical support to management in evaluating various technical issues. Provide specialized process engineering support to E&TSD in developing/reviewing design basis for new projects.
Job Minimum Requirements
• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
• At least 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry with at least 6 years related professional experience at a senior level.
• Experience includes process technology, feasibility studies, plant and project economics and plant operation with sound knowledge of chemical engineering simulation and LP model software.

33. Workshop Section Head
Directs and supervises the activities of workshop, heavy equipment and civil maintenance services in the plant and maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy mobile and fixed equipment and vehicles and the fabrication of special tools and spare parts that are urgently required or not available in order to support maintenance activities of the complex Refinery, Power plant, Desalinated units and other facilities at RRD
Minimum requirements:
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• 9 Years experience in diverse metal crafts including machine tooling, bench fitting and the fabrication welding and repair, with some experience of vehicle maintenance and civil business, preferably within a Refinery or Petrochemical plant of which 4 years should have been in a senior supervisory position.
• Good knowledge of English with technical report writing skills.
